Rotary Club of Lamentin in
Martinique Donates Ambulance
The President of the Rotary Club of Lamentin and a large
delegation of members from that club visited our club recently
to present the gift of an Ambulance to Saint Lucia.
Our club selected the Saint Lucia Red Cross as the beneficiary
of this gift and the club President from Lamentin presented
the keys to the vehicle to the representatives from the Saint
Lucia Red Cross.
Also in attendance at the presentation were the French
Ambassador to Saint Lucia and Sir John Compton, an Honorary
Member of the Rotary Club of Saint Lucia
Saint Lucia Junior PRIDE receives Rotary Support
Ms. Portia Martial the facilitator of PRIDE.
received a cheque from our club of EC $2,000 in support of one of
its upcoming workshops. Saint Lucia Junior PRIDE. is a non profit
organization and a pioneer in drug prevention, which has held a
number of drug prevention activities as an alternative to drug use.
Rtn. Birgitta Hermansson admitted
President Frank formally admitted Rtn. Birgitta Hermansson as a
transferring member to our club. She was originally a member of the
Rotary Club of Danderyd in Sweden.
Rtn. Patrick Isaac gets 4 Avenues of Service Citation
At the recent handover meeting, PP Albert announced that Rtn.
Patrick had been awarded the Four Avenues of Service Citation by the
President of Rotary International Glen E. Estess Sr., for his
outstanding service contribution across Community, International
Vocational and Club service during the year 2004 - 2005.President
New Board Inducted
President Frank V. Myers and the officers for the 2005 -
2006 Rotary year were inducted at the handover meeting of July
2nd 2005.
All Past Presidents Honoured
Past presidents from 1966 to 2004 were honored
for their contribution to the club and service to the less
fortunate in Saint Lucia at a recent meeting of the club.
